    As a working mom of two children, I found it very difficult to make time to take care of myself and be comfortable in an environment to work out in.

    Since joining Impact, I am loving the new programming! The coaches provide great training on all of the movements and I have seen tremendous results these past eight months in my strength and weight loss. The class schedule is flexible so I can make it to the gym three times a week.

    In addition to the training programs, Impact has a great community of members, which makes for a fun and enjoyable environment. I would definitely recommend Impact to anyone who is interested in improving their overall health, fitness and general well being.     Imapct Fitness has been the greatest decision of my life. I came in to Impact wanting more than just working out at home watching videos. I was getting sick and tired of repeating the same stuff every day. I needed a way out and that is when I found Impact Fitness. I joined Impact Fitness in February 2017 to improve my fitness while having fun. I was instantly hooked! From the first day of the trial class to my last day at the end of June, there was never a single day that I didn’t want to go and workout! Impact covers everything from conditioning to strength training and that is the best part about it! You are working on all aspects of your body and you see changes from week to week. The programming is designed in such a way that you actually see results as you progress and there is nothing better than knowing how much you have grown!

    I could barely do deadlifts when I first started, but 2 weeks in, my form and strength started to show! I would go home knowing that I had accomplished something that day and felt good about it. But the best part about Impact Fitness is the family environment and the supportive coaches. Everyone is encouraging and always cheering each other on. Impact Fitness has the best coaches! They do an amazing job to keep you motivated, encouraged and most importantly, in form! I would highly recommend Impact Fitness to my friends, family and anybody else looking for a gym! I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for Impact Fitness.

  • Life Before Impact Fitness...I have never been a “Gym Guy”, nor did I ever think I would be one either. Why would I? I have never been overweight, never suffered from any medical conditions, never had problems sleeping and never “felt” out of shape and besides all that I didn’t have the time. Therefore, I didn’t really think I needed to make time for fitness in my life.  As far as I was concerned I was all good, no problems here…..or so I thought.

    The road to my fitness epiphany can be attributed to several individuals who were both persistent and provided me with some invaluable encouragement. One person I must acknowledge and express my appreciation for is my girlfriend Sharleene (a member of Impact Fitness), it’s because of her that I found Impact Fitness and it is because of her loving motivational influence that I decided to give it a shot in the first place.

    I had joined a generic gym (Goodlife) several months before joining Impact Fitness and I recall that my enthusiasm and commitment wasn’t really where it should have been.  I found it difficult to get both excited and motivated to do something that I really knew nothing about.  The alternative was paying for personal training sessions, which seemed costly for my level of commitment at the time.  Thankfully my better half continued to be both persistent and persuasive and after several months of chirping in my ear I finally came to my senses, listened to reason and decided to give CrossFit a try; and let me tell you just how exceptionally grateful I am!

    My Impact Fitness Journey Begins….I never thought for a moment that joining a gym would so drastically impact my life in such a positive way.  From the first moment I walked through the doors at Impact Fitness I thought to myself, “this is something different; this looks like it could be…..FUN!”.  I will be honest, at first, FUN it was not!  It took me getting a taste of my first WOD (Workout of the Day) to make me realise just how out of shape I was and more to the point how my unhealthy lifestyle was doing me no favours.  In other instances I may have felt like, “maybe this isn’t for me” or “maybe I should start with something more familiar”.  But this time something was different; it was the people in my company (coaches and members) and the atmosphere they created which allowed me to simply feel humbled but NOT DEFEATED.  This fundamental difference between a generic Gym and Impact Fitness was paramount in changing my perception, my attitude and most importantly my actions towards how I would continue to live my life!   

    18 Months into My Impact Fitness Journey…..When Christina and Paul asked me to write a “short testimonial” I immediately and without hesitation replied that I was more than happy to oblige. Why wouldn’t I?  I mean if I truly believe in the Philosophy, Coaches and Members of Impact Fitness how could I not? Because of my enthusiasm I thought that I would be able to write something quickly, off-the-cuff and would email it back in a few days.  However, something happened that I didn’t expect.  The more I wrote, the more I began reflecting on my journey, and the more I reflected on my journey, the more I realised how much this lifestyle change has enhanced my life and just how grateful I am for that growth.  I can’t imagine ever going back to the “old me”, no matter how hectic life gets.  Sure there are still many improvements that I have to make and goals that I have not even come close to reaching, nevertheless, what gives me the most immense feeling of satisfaction, what I love most about my progression, is that for the first time in many years I have stopped to enjoy the journey instead of anticipating the destination.

    I would like to express my most sincere gratitude to not just the coaches at Impact Fitness but the members too, both parties have been instrumental in much of the success I have realised thus far.  Thank you to Paul and Kirsten for your patience, encouragement, knowledge and enthusiasm.  The new programming is terrific, I have always enjoyed the challenge of CrossFit and the fierce WOD’s that come with it but now as a member of Impact Fitness I have the added benefit of strength building programs designed and executed by experienced and knowledgeable coaches that will systematically help me to improve my performance in those WOD’s.

    I look forward to continuing my journey of personal improvement with Impact Fitness, to achieving the goals I have set out and most importantly living a more healthy and complete lifestyle and enjoying every moment each step of the way.

    I've always wanted to be strong and fast; there is nothing better than finishing a workout that has your muscles sore, your lungs gasping and you feeling like a badass!

    I had the opportunity to grow up playing sports with coaches and training programs that left me with that feeling. When my years of sports with training programs came to an end I was left with a franchised gym membership and a lost feeling. I knew the exercises and had access to the equipment but something was missing. The value of a coach is something that aids in that sore muscle, lung burning, badass feeling I strive for in a workout. Impact fitness has structured workouts that aim to increase your strength and endurance. The class structure makes you feel like you are apart of a team, and you are. I joined this team when it was programmed as a CrossFit gym but it has evolved into something so much more because the coaches care about results being achieved in a safe, effective and efficient manner.

    Days after I joined Impact fitness I told my mom that she should go in for a trial session because I saw the value the workouts would add to her fitness and lifestyle goals. Me and my mom, athletically are very different with very different goals however, I knew with the programming and coaches she would love it and reap the benefits just as much as I did. And I was right; I love getting morning messages about what movement and workout she crushed in the 6am class.

    I began my fitness journey April 2015. Walking into Impact Fitness has changed my life. I'm healthier, stronger, and more motivated then I have ever been. I have accomplished so much in just the past two year all thanks to the amazing coaches and members for their support and encouragements. When I first walked in I didn’t know what to expect but everyone was friendly and the coaches were very helpful. I didn’t just find Brampton; I found a community/family. During this journey I discovered my passion for fitness and having a healthy lifestyle. I’ve lost close to 30 pounds, and gained a whole lot of muscle. I have seen how far I can push myself and do thing I never thought were possible. Every day I get stronger and I am more proud of myself now then I have ever been. A lot of blood, sweat and tears; and believe there were lots of tears, but I have never been so motivated to keep doing better. I eat well, I train hard, I stopped making excuses and I look forward to taking on new challenges and learning new movements. I believe if you are consistent, determined and also willing to challenge yourself, all the hard work will pay off. In the past two years I have been able to lift heavy weights, do pull-ups, climb a rope and run 5k without stopping, which when I first started wasn’t the case, I would stop numerous time trying to catch my breath. Once I got started and set my goals I knew with the guidance from the coaches and believing in myself I can achieve the unachievable. Whatever goal you set it’s not going to comes easy, there will be obstacles but if you’re willing to put in the time, the effort and trust in the coaches, not only will goals be accomplished you will surpass them time and time again. You are accountable for everything you do, if you give up you’re only letting yourself down, don’t make that an option. If you’re tired of the same old gym routine and want something challenging or if you just want better your health and fitness; Impact Fitness Brampton is a great place to start. I have changed in so many ways, emotional, physical and of course mentally and it’s all paid off. I am very lucky to have found a great place to work out and I everything I have learned will continue to apply outside the gym.

    Impact Fitness has changed my life entirely. Being a member for about two years I have learned so much about fitness, nutrition and community. My body has changed drastically! I have been training on an individualized program with Paul for 4 months and the results are incredible-I have gained muscle, strength, and self-confidence. I learned to love my body through fitness and nutrition; it’s really crazy what your body can accomplish if you put in hard work inside and outside the gym.     I wanted to let you guys know how impressed I am with my transformation since joining Impact (formerly known as BCF) back in September 2015. Over the last year and a half, I have lost 30 to 35 lbs and dropped my Body Fat Percentage from the low 30% range to the high teensalmost 50%! I can now finish a mile run in under 7 minutes whereas I had to really struggle to do it without stopping- the 2 km run is just as easy. I used to look at the rope climbs and wish that I could do them- now doing 3 x 3 is not a problem! I still have goals I want to achieve this year and more for the future and I am confident that I will be able to reach them because of what I have achieved so far. All of these changes have come from working out, diet changes and dedication to your programming.

    Prior to starting at Impact Fitness Brampton, I had not really done much exercising for any length of time for about 25 years. Life and work always seemed to get in the way. However, that is only an excuse for the fact that I what I was trying didn’t seem to work for me and I didn’t enjoy doing it. I tried various gyms, swimming programs and working out at home. Even now, I still don’t like going for a run at home but look forward to doing it at Impact with the other members.

    When I started, the workouts were tough and I could barely finish them. After about 3 months, I could see some improvements and by 6 months, I was hooked and making big gainzzz. I started coming in twice a week and making excuses why I was “busy” and couldn’t come in for more classes. I soon grudgingly added a third day around the third month of my membership. Now I am training 4 times a week, and if I could, I would add another day or two. (But at my age – I need a couple of rest days!)

    What I really like about this gym is that it basically comes down to 3 things: the coaches, the programming and the classes-that is, there are others in the classes and we can workout together or on our own. If it wasn’t for the great atmosphere here I would not have kept coming back and I wouldn’t have made the changes that happened for me. I appreciate everything the coaches do for us and you have a really open and friendly group of people. We remember what it was like to be new and we are all ready to reach out to the new members.

    I've been coming to Impact for 3 years now, and I'm still loving it. I was always a gym goer in the past but I would always fall off after a few months and struggle to get back on track mainly from boredom and lack of results. Since I've been coming to Impact, that hasn't happened again. I love the workouts, coaches and friends too much to miss a day! After around the 2-year point I noticed I was hitting a plateau. My lifts weren't getting any stronger, I was still kipping my pull-ups and my push-up number wasn't getting past 6 in a row. Paul suggested the personal programming and I decided to give it a try. Two months into the program I got my first STRICT pull-up and a kipping HSPU. So needless to say I was hooked! After a couple more months we tested everything again and all my lifts increased significantly and I was able to do 19 push-ups in a row!!!!!!! This was so surprising to me because I wasn't doing any Olympic lifting anymore in my everyday workouts. I was never a person who loved the Olympic lifting part at Impact Fitness anyways, but I do want to get stronger, leaner and gain better endurance. And since I've switched up the programming with Paul it's happening. I did miss working out with the group at times - it's hard to fist pump yourself after your finished lol. Now that the gym is on similar programming as me it will be so great to jump back into classes :).

    Thank you Paul and Impact for your help and encouragement in reaching my goals. The biggest thing I have learned in the process is, no matter what we are doing in life, consistency is most important. If we aren't consistent we will never see growth.

    If I am being completely honest, I started training at Impact Fitness because working out before meant going on the treadmill and Stairmaster in hopes to gain a body like the Instagram models. After joining I quickly realized there is so much more to being strong and fit; at Impact there are people from all shapes and sizes, however we are all in it for one purpose, overall good health and competing against no one else but yourself!

    Impact Fitness Brampton has helped me understand the depth of strength training and conditioning, and let me tell you it is so much more than the treadmill and Stairmaster! At Impact Fitness Brampton I always feel like I am a part of a family, a family that caters to my needs and understands my goals, hence me coming back at least 4 times a week.   • I first found Impact Fitness because I was looking for a place a little closer to home where I could continue my fitness journey, that I had begun just a couple of months prior.

    I initially stumbled upon Impact by accident last year when I decided that it was time for me to start introducing fitness back into my schedule again. I went from being consistently active (going to the gym, playing tennis, training for long and short races) to being stagnant, and my body was feeling it. I joined Brampton Impact Fitness for no other reason than it was closer to home. Without a doubt and with no exaggeration, that turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my lifetime, seriously. For the first time in my life I looked forward to going to the gym. It became a fun activity versus a necessity. The coaches are motivating and the other members are encouraging. It’s an environment where I honestly feel that everyone else in the gym is just as interested in my progress as I am. When I stopped going to classes at some point because of personal reasons, a coach reached out (unsolicited) and called me to ask if everything was ok. What other gym does that?!?! When I achieved my first chin-up ever I noticed other members stop what they were doing to come and watch me and I could see in their faces that they were as delighted in my new accomplishment as I was. At what other gym does that happen?!?! It’s such a positive environment that I feel lucky to have found.

    That said though, I realized only a couple of months into my membership at Impact that while I was seeing results with the crossfit workouts, crossfit was only intended, for me, to be a segue to something even better. I found myself being so impressed by the progress that I was making that I wanted to push myself harder to see what else my body could do. So I moved on from participating in the classes to working with the coaches on an individualized program. Again at Impact, one of the best things I’ve ever decided to do for myself. It’s a truly personalized program structured around my individual needs and goals. It’s giving me the foundational strength and skills that I need to progress even further, faster and in a safe way. I went from struggling with back squats (shooting pains along my side every time I added more weight - yeah, I was that weak) to being able to increase weight without any of the wrong kind of pain. I went from having weak upper body strength (I’d struggle just to get a bag of mulch of top soil from a pile to my shopping cart) to now being able to do chin-ups! And… even my kids are having fun with my progress because I can now also do a couple of push-ups with my 35lb son straddling my back. I’m leaner, I’m obviously stronger, and more importantly, I’m experiencing less to almost no back and knee pains. I’m the most motivated, healthiest; strongest I’ve ever been, both physically and mentally. I’ve never felt this good about my abilities before.

    With the individualized programming, Impact has taken conditioning workouts and even general fitness to a whole other level. I’ve been a member at quite a few gyms before and nothing comes close to Impact. When you combine Impact's coaching staff, the members, the facilities, the general environment, and the programming together, you have the perfect recipe for the Best. Gym. Ever.

  • I joined Impact Fitness over the summer and really have enjoyed myself.  The trainers/coaches are amazing.  They keep an eye on you and make sure you don’t injure yourself plus have the right technique.  Kristen is a prenominal coach because she makes sure you have lots of fun and she makes it challenging for you.  Paul is very technical and he makes sure that you are progressing and challenges you!  Christina is a sweetheart and always a joy. She makes sure if you have any questions they are always answered.   • I originally signed up for a 6 week best me challenge at Impact fitness Brampton.  I remember my first class as a challenge that literally kicked my butt.  On my drive home I felt proud and accomplished, then I tried to get out of my car and could barely walk. I laughed as I questioned what I had gotten myself into? But I love a challenge, so this just pushed me to work harder.  Each day became easier, and I was able to push myself further, with the motivation and support of the wonderful coaches, and fellow members.  I enjoyed the results I saw and felt after the 6 weeks. I decided to sign up for longer.  

    Currently I'm in my 10th week, and couldn't be happier.  Every class challenges me to do better then before and the community of people here inspire and motivate me. Impact fitness is an amazing place, and I'm proud to be apart of it!

  • The results that I have realized working with Paul’s personalized program has had a significant IMPACT on my life.  I am stronger than ever, have more cardio than when I was 25 and am INJURY FREE!

    I liken the relationship that I have with Paul to that of a Partnership than anything else.  He took the time to learn about me, understand what is important to me, find my go button, know what I am doing in my time, how I am performing in the fun sports I participate in (no leagues … I am way too competitive for my own good) as well as how I feel about myself. 

    Now that we have been working together for a while (1.5 years), we have monthly meetings to check in, recalibrate and make adjustments as required.  I truly feel that Paul and his team are invested in me and my goals.  As I live quite a distance from Brampton I am not always available to make it to IMPACT, to combat this and make sure my training stays on track Paul and I made a grocery list of equipment that I should have at home, having scraped together these items Paul is able to continue my programing for weekends or when I get a few days to work from home!

    I have spent the last 10 years trying to find a fitness program would work for me, something that would change my direction.  I have trained in Jiu Jitsu; Krav Maga; Karate.  Played around in Strongman Classes; Kettle Bell Classes.  Punished myself by running.  Chased the glory days by playing pickup hockey.  These were all fun things to do, I have had some good coaches, learned some really cool stuff (Collar Chokes are my Jam ) but did not have a strong foundation and I was constantly getting injured (hip, knee, neck, shoulder, elbow, back).  After a year and a half with Paul, most of the pain is gone away and I am setting PR’s on my weekly MTB rides and Rowing Tests!  I am becoming more functional … IMPACT is definitely having more of an IMPACT than I realized.

  • I’ve always wanted to be one of those people that loves working out and going to the gym, many times I joined regular gyms and signed up for memberships that I never used.  I signed up for the 6 week fitness challenge in September along with my husband and now I can finally say, “I love working out and going to the gym”.  There are many differences between Impact Fitness and every other gym that I tried; I think that one of the big differences for me is the guidance and group setting that Impact provides.   I finally feel like I’m learning how to exercise, strengthen my body and be healthy.   The coaches are amazing; they will know your name within the first few classes, they are friendly, approachable and always smiling.  The programs, well, they are hard and will make you sweat like you have never sweat before but you will see the difference.  I can honestly say that just in this short period of time, I can see that difference in my body, I look healthier, my muscles are getting stronger and what is most important to me is that I feel great.  I have more energy now than I have ever had before.  My husband and I continue to go together on a regular basis and are enjoying all the benefits that this program has brought into our lives.  So if you are like me that never really fit in when attending the gym, you need to try Impact Fitness, matter what your fitness level is you will see results.
